Sam was supposed to meet Grace at her house to talk. Yeah, right. Not that Grace doesn’t talk and I mean alot. Luckily she doesn’t talk much to me. Maybe its because I don’t even acknowledge her existance.
So anyways, I thought it best to be at a bar in Grace’s neighborhood. Well a few minutes later Sitara walks in, notices me and sits down on the bar stool next to me. I guess she might be as paranoid as I am. So we’re both sitting there nursing our drinks, looking at our commlinks to check the time, checking the front door and the door to the backroom and keeping track of all the customers, when both commlinks go off at the same time.
Emergency. Help. 47.45972°N 122.28306°W – Wolfe
Sitara is out the door while I guzzle my beer. She’s just ahead of me when we reach Grace’s house and she jumps off the bike after trying to crash it into a thug who had Wolfe on his shoulder. I notice the front window of Grace’s house is smashed and I figure Sam must have been thrown clear through it. I can just picture him trying to jump through it and bounce right off.
Fact, sometimes stranger than fiction…
Anyways, the goon who was carrying Wolfe, drops him and pulls out a handgun and starts filling Sitara with gel rounds while the other guy in a suit starts punching her. She fires a shot and then gets her monofilament whip out but too many gel rounds knock her out just as I arrive.
I jump off the bike and tell it to park itself, as I draw my gun and fire at the suit who Sitara was fighting. I fill him with a few holes and then he looks at me and things start to go hazy. I’m just standing there like a rookie taking shot after shot and returning fire.
I think I’ve filled the guy with enough armor piercing rounds to take down even Trog but he hasn’t fallen. My vision is starting to get blurry, the sidewalk is starting to get awfully close…
