Fraud Claims Fall Flat
Democratic supporters were denied in their attempts to appeal Tuesday’s upset win by President Anne Colleton. The UEA announced that they have investigated over 300 alleged incidents of fraud and found “no evidence of significant vote tampering that would affect the outcome of the balloting.” In addition to the usual claims of Matrix hacking, voter intimidation, and campaign misspending, some of Colleton’s opponents even went so far as to claim that last week’s attempted assassination was staged by Republican supporters to boost her flagging popularity.
President Colleton thanked her campaign team yesterday and confirmed that she would be announcing changes to her Cabinet in the coming weeks.
Explosions Rock Tacoma
Residents of Tacoma were shaken by two separate explosions last night, as gang-land violence continues to escalate. The initial blast occurred at a dockside warehouse which police suspect was operated by elements of the Gianelli crime family. Several people were killed in the blast, including mob lieutenant ‘Cross-eyed’ Louie Mazzilani. The second blast claimed the lives of at least two people, although their identities have not been released. Police have not said if the two explosions are related.
Governor Kenneth Brackhaven once again expressed his disappointment that Lone Star Security Services have been unable to effectively control the gangland violence.
